MADERAS WOODS

SOFT MAPLE (SOFT MAPLE) K.D.

SOFT MAPLE (SOFT MAPLE) K.D.

PERFORMANCE:

Maple Suave's sawn wood is machined, drilled, brushed and finished in excellent shape. It turns, tails and carves well but its aptitude for screwing and nailing is medium. It produces good moldings. The Maple Suave Americano wood is easy to sand, dye and polish to a fine and smooth finish, and has good properties for steam bending. When stained, it is considered a substitute for cherry wood. Its mechanical properties and performance also make it a substitute for beech wood.
Wood is not durable. The heartwood is moderately impregnable with protection treatments, however, the sapwood is impregnable.

MAIN USES:

With excellent environmental credentials, it is a good option in cases where hardness and wear resistance properties are not essential. It is used in the manufacture of cabinets and furniture, in cabinet making, doors and kitchen cabinets, as well as for turning and molding.
