PERFORMANCE:

The Birch is mechanized quite well and works well if done carefully, including turning. It also accepts dye and polish extremely well. It is nailed and screwed satisfactorily although it is recommended to make preliminary drills. It dries slowly with little deterioration, but has a moderately high contraction, so it can move put into service.
Wood is not durable. The heartwood is moderately impregnable with protective treatments, although the sapwood is impregnable.

MAIN USES:

The Birch, is used for some furniture and cabinetmaking uses, such as doors, interior panels and kitchen cabinets.
